"I have been living at Alden Princeton for three years and find it a very nice place. The nurses do a wonderful job at making sure everyone has what we need. The Activity Department does a good job spending time with the residents and planning things for us to do every day. The nurses’ aides do a good job caring for us too. And, Housekeeping keeps the building clean and smelling nice. I am glad I am at Alden Princeton."

"There was a fire in my apartment building, and I had to be taken to the hospital. I was in the hospital for a week and they told me that I needed to find a place to go because I could not go back to my apartment. I decided that I would go to a nursing home, and since Alden Princeton was near my home, I thought it would be the best choice. That was almost four years ago, and I am glad I came here because I like Alden Princeton very much and consider this now to be my home. The nursing staff takes good care of me and treats me very well. The place is kept so clean, and we have lots of different things to do during the day. It’s a great place."

"I like Alden Princeton because they have great people, and I enjoy all of the activities offered. I also love going to the Day Program where I can be around other people. I also enjoy the Church services and Bible Study. Here at Alden, we have people who care about us and take good care of us."

Families

"My mother has been a resident of Alden Princeton for 3 ½ years. I have been very satisfied with how the nurses and CNAs have treated and taken care of my mother. I really could not ask for a better place for her. Whenever I have a question, I am always guaranteed an answer. Everyone who works here is like family to me and is always willing to help me in whatever way they can. I believe Alden Princeton is one of the best nursing homes around."

"When it was first determined about eighteen months ago that my mother could no longer live an independent life style, we knew we would have to choose a skilled nursing care facility. We were, of course, apprehensive due to all of the negative reports we had heard about nursing facilities and their treatment of residents. However, my mother’s doctor recommended we consider Alden Princeton. The family and I met with the facility administrator and were taken on a tour. After the tour and learning about all of the available activities, we all determined that Alden Princeton was the best facility for the care my mother needed. We are glad we made this decision all those months ago. All in all, the care and attention given to my mother has been excellent, and we have been completely satisfied with everything at Alden Princeton. In fact, I wish to thank the Administration and care staffs for the responsible way in which my mother’s needs have been attended to and met. I would also like to share that mother’s initial depression upon entering a long-term facility was short-lived, and she is now totally satisfied with everything here."

"My Aunt came to live with me after her doctor suggested that she should not live alone. After a couple of years, my health started to fail and I found that I could no longer take care of my aunt. I was very upset because, in my family, we always take care of our own. Anyway, I toured several nursing and rehab facilities and really liked Alden Princeton. I did not make a decision right away because my aunt and I did not want to have to choose a nursing home. I tried a home service agency and that worked for a while but did not address all of our needs. That is when I decided to turn to Alden Princeton. At first, my aunt was not too pleased. I encouraged her to associate with other residents, and now she is extremely happy here. And, I am happy because I know that she is happy. She is very involved in the facility and enjoys and attends many of the meetings, knows most of the residents and the staff.

I now volunteer at Alden Princeton and work with a small group of residents. We read stories from the magazine The Good Old Days and discuss many things from their own “Good Old Days.” I also started sending each resident here at Alden a birthday card. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, I help the patients and residents send cards. I really love Alden Princeton and the many employees here."

"I have worked at Alden Princeton for five years. I love my job and enjoy providing care to all of the patients and residents. I started working on the skilled and dementia units as a floater and then transferred to work on the Vent Unit. That was a very educational and challenging patient care experience that taught me a lot. I am currently a Restorative Aide, working with patients and residents to restore their mind, body, and soul."

"I have been ministering to patients, residents and employees in Alden rehabilitation centers and long-term care facilities since 1973. I have been at Alden Princeton for two years and really enjoy talking to and ministering here – and even baking cakes for everyone. I have also enjoyed getting to know the staff, especially the Administrator, and Sheya, Activity Director. It pleases me to see that they care so much about the patients and residents. Alden Princeton is one of the cleanest nursing homes I have ever seen, and I have seen many! I hope to continue a long and happy relationship with Alden Princeton."

"As the clinical site for our CNA program, Alden Princeton is instrumental in the delivery of quality education for our students. The facility has provided a valuable opportunity for our group to experience the joys and challenges of the profession. They are very lucky to have wonderful role models at Alden Princeton from the Administrative team to the whole Nursing staff. It is a great honor and privilege for these aspiring health care professionals to be a part of the Alden Princeton family."

"For the past three years, first graders in Room 110 at Parker Community Academy have visited Alden Princeton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. We come once a month and share quality time with the patients and residents. The children sing songs, read stories or poems and play games with the seniors. Patients and residents, in turn, share stories with my students and color activity sheets. Treats are always shared by both groups. This has been and will continue to be a wonderful learning experience for the first graders and I hope Alden Princeton as well. Thank you."
